As part of our preparation for Christmas, all our form groups took part in the Samaritans Purse shoebox appeal again this year. We are delighted to announce this was another successful and rewarding campaign with the school managing to fill over 70 boxes, twice as much as last year. For Chaplain, Miss Mackin, “This shows the students are getting much more involved and understand the importance of their role within the worldwide community.” The boxes are shipped out to needy children across the world
In other charity news Year Seven recently hosted a cake sale, which was extremely successful. The students designed the posters, brought the cakes, prepared the room and sold the produce. With all their hard work and effort they managed to raise over £200, which will be donated to the student’s charity of choice, Great Ormond Street hospital. A very successful and rewarding event!!
