Saint John Bosco College Yr8 rugby team continued their fine start to the season by winning the Ernest Bevin 10s Competition this afternoon. This competition was organised by Harlequin's Tom Williams and featured schools from Wandsworth and Lambeth.

SJBC progressed from their group with victories of over Ernest Bevin (7-0), Archbishop's Tenison's (12-5) and London Nautical (14-0) to reach the final. In the final SJBC again faced Ernest Bevin and emerged victorious by 12-0 thanks to tries from captain Sean Mbala and Sky Auguis, both of whom are members of the Harlequins U13 satellite school of rugby.

The Yr8 boys were delighted with their success and wanted to pay credit and gratitude to Ms LaToya Mason, the current London Wasps and England Women's scrum half, who has recently started working with the college and played a big part in their success.

SJBC squad: Tommy Nyguen, Richard Amphonash, Joao Bosa, Meli Istrefi, Johann Hobglin, Bailey Marshall Telfer, Daniel Doherty, Nana Akenhark, Sean Mbala (capt), Nana Osei, Joey Fumo, Leonardo Fasjalo, Alex Mendonca, Sky Auguis, Calum Warnock, Yotam Birhane, Josh Toya & Tiago DaSilva.
