As part of a day of citizenship activities SJBC today hosted a visit from the Metropolitan Police Dogs section who gave a presentation to students in years 9, 10 and 11.  The presentation focused on the work of the Police in combatting Drug Crime and the potential dangers to young people of the possession and use of banned substances.

Students were also given a chance to see at first-hand how the Police Dogs operate in a search operation in a simulated exercise involving school staff.

SJBC School’s Officer, PC Hasan Rashid, commented: ‘this event has helped the students to gain a real insight in to the work of the Police and has helped to reinforce the anti-drugs message to them’.
