For the third successive year SJBC organised and ran the  Catholic Primary Schools'Athletics Championships.

Despite terrible weather Year 4 teams from Our Lady Queen of Heaven, St Mary’s, Sacred Heart (Battersea), Sacred Heart (Roehampton), Saint Boniface and St Josephs arrived ready for action.  Each team competed in a range of track and field events in a bid to the secure the trophy and, perhaps even more importantly, the bragging rights of Catholic Primary Champions.

Competition on the day was fierce with superb performances across the board.  The standard on display was fantastic and in the end it came right down to the wire with all 8 classes close to taking the title.  In a thrilling conclusion our congratulations go to St Mary’s who nudged in front when it mattered most and came away as champions. Many thanks go to Mr Lane, Mr Bradford and Miss O'Rourke of our PE department. Here’s hoping for more of the same at next year’s event!
