Year 11 and external students will begin the Sixth Form pre-enrolment and transition programme after half term.

Our pre-enrolment and transition programme is designed to help prepare students for their next stage of education to ensure that they make an effective transition onto courses in September.  

Lessons will take place, in school,  from Monday 7th to Thursday 24th June.   

A letter of invitation has been sent to all Year 11 and externals students.  Please do sign up to your courses of interest via the link in the letter.  

During the designated three-week period, students will attend the Step Up to Sixth Form sessions led by our A Level specialist teacher and Year 13 subject ambassadors.  

Our specialist teachers be delivering a mixture of theory, practical and research transition sessions to ensure students are prepared to take those next steps in September.  

In addition, we will be delivering sessions on:  

  • our new Bridging Programme that will work alongside the Year 12 curriculum fusing education and employability skills. 
  • Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)  
  • Health and well-being will be led by our PE department who will offer a range of sports to take place on Tuesday 8th, 15th and 22nd of June.   
  • The careers advisor will be offering sessions of support to guide students through their choices.    

In addition to the physical lessons, pre-enrolment into St John Bosco College sixth form will take place between 08.40am to 10.20am on the following dates ( Photo ID will be required)

Thursday 10th June (Surname A-G)  

Thursday 17th June (Surname H-P)   

Thursday 24th June (Surname Q-Z)  

Please note this is a pre-enrolment stage, the official enrolment will take place on August 12th and 13th once official grades are received. 

All students must attend as per the sixth form dress code, in a suit.
