GCSE successes at St John Bosco College
GCSE students Lee Melo and Camilla Lorenzon were among the many pupils at St John Bosco College for whom the anxious wait for GCSE results turned into a celebration, with more students than ever before achieving the top grades at the Battersea school.
Lee, 16 from Battersea, was delighted to learn of his five A*s, three A grades as well as 8s in the new English and Maths grading system saying “I am really happy that I’ve done so well, my teachers had faith in me and I’m so pleased that I’ve been able to repay that faith!”
Headteacher Paul Dunne said “we’re delighted with the pupils’ outcomes this year, especially given the all the changes to assessment that they have had to cope with”
Head of Year 11 Jon Bradford commented “I’m so proud of the pupils in my year group, they’ve worked really hard to achieve these grades and they are thoroughly deserved”.
