As you may be aware, as part of the rollout of the COVID vaccination programme, all children aged 12 to 15 are being offered one dose of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine through their schools. This aims to protect young people from COVID-19, reduce outbreaks that occur in school and protect friends and family against the virus.
The local NHS, in partnership with Wandsworth Council are organising a webinar and Q&A session with an expert panel on the roll out of the COVID vaccination for 12 to15-year-olds on:
The webinar is for parents and carers to ask questions about the process for vaccinations in school, and get more information. It will be chaired by Shannon Katiyo, Wandsworth’s Director of Public Health.
The panel will include a Wandsworth GP and senior pharmacist as well as speakers from the School Immunisation team, and Wandsworth Public Health

Getting the vaccination is the best protection against the virus and the NHS wants to make it easy for children and their families to get this extra protection as quickly as possible. There are now multiple ways for this group to get the vaccine:
• The programme is continuing in schools in Wandsworth, in line with other schools-based vaccination programmes.
• Appointments for 12 to 15-year-olds can be booked using the National Booking system: Book or manage a 1st or 2nd dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination – NHS (www.nhs.uk).
• Walk-in centres across South West London are offering vaccinations to 12 to 15-year-olds, meaning that you don’t need to book an appointment, you can simply walk in on the day. In Wandsworth, Roehampton Vaccination Centre (QMH Car park Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton Ln, London, SW15 5PN) has walk-in clinics for 12 to 15-year-olds. Next week, these are running: 3.30pm to 7.30pm, Monday 15th November 2021 to Friday 19th November 2021.
