How to travel to the school

Sustainable travel options available to pupils and staff

The new school has very good access to public transport and excellent cycle links. The TfL journey planner provides you with the best travel options to access the new school site. The journey planner is located here: https://tfl.gov.uk/

Bus

  • Over 38 public bus services and hour stop within a 5 min walk of the school.
  • In addition, school bus services 639 and 670 will operate between Roehampton and the School (via Clapham Junction) in the morning, with the reverse journey after school. The school bus services will stop outside the school on Parkham Street.
  • Figure 1 shows where the local bus stops and routes are in relation to the school. In addition, bus maps and timetables are provided here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/

Cycle

  • Good cycle links surround the school site. In particular, Cycle Superhighway 8 (Westminster – Wandsworth) is approximately half a mile south of the school. Cycle routes are available along fairly quiet residential streets to connect the cycle superhighway with the school.
  • In addition, Battersea Park offers an off-road cycle route for those who live to the east and north of the school. Safe cycle routes connect Battersea Park with the school.
  • Secure cycle stands, changing and locker facilities are provided at the school for pupils and staff.

Rail

  • Clapham Junction rail station is approximately 15 minutes’ walk to the south of the school.
  • Approximately 100 rail services serve Clapham Junction station per hour.
  • Bus routes 49, 170, 319, 345, 639 and 670 connect Clapham Junction with the school.
  • The rail & tube map is located here and up to date rail information can be found on the TfL journey planner: https://tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/documents/london-rail-and-tube-services-map.pdf

Car

Parents/guardians are discouraged from driving to the school – there is very little parking available, the local area gets very busy in the morning and afternoon and cars around the school gates are a hazard to pupils arriving by foot, bus or cycle.
