I am delighted to welcome you to St John Bosco College.
At St John Bosco College we believe that there should be no limit on what our pupils can achieve. We expect every child who joins us to aim high and always do their best in every thing that they do. With a broad and balanced curriculum, excellent teaching, a modern purpose-built school and a caring, nurturing ethos; we provide an excellent environment where all of our pupils can reach their full potential.
"School staff provide high-quality care, which makes pupils feel safe and thrive." Ofsted October 2022
We want our pupils to work hard but also enjoy life in school. We provide many enrichment activities; sporting, work experience, cultural and charitable; for our pupils to learn and grow beyond the confines of the classroom. We believe that these opportunities enable our pupils to grow and develop into well-rounded young men and women who will leave here fully equipped for life beyond school.
“Leaders have high expectations of all pupils’ behaviour and learning” Ofsted October 2022
Our identity as a Roman Catholic school and our school’s distinctive Salesian ethos is based on St John Bosco’s vision that ‘it is not enough for every child to be loved… they must know that they are loved’. We provide strong pastoral support and a high level of care for every student, regardless of their background. We are a community where everyone is highly valued as an individual.
“Parents and carers are very positive about the school and how it has supported their children to become more confident and develop their character while at the school.” Ofsted October 2022
Whilst we are justifiably proud of our school and of the achievements of the young people who have already studied here we are equally excited about the future and the potential of the young people joining our school to achieve great things in the years ahead.
"St John Bosco College is a welcoming school community. Pupils are polite and courteous. They are proud of their school." Ofsted October 2022
