The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award students completed their expedition without a hitch! 24 SJBC students have been improving skills, completing physical exercise and volunteering in the local community for the last year in preparation for this adventure. They arrived in Southease, Sussex on the South Downs way and navigated themselves the 15km to their campsite carrying all of their equipment! After cooking dinner on camp stoves they had a good nights sleep before the second day of walking. On day 2 they hiked the 17km over the Seven Sisters to Birling Gap, battling strong coastal winds and the odd shower. All students completed the expedition and showed unbelievable resilience and determination to do so.
